JEAN-LUC GODARD movie posters by HANS HILLMANN - Tribute to HANS HILLMANN (1925-2014 RIP) (Part 1)
The recent passing of the world’s most creative movie poster designer, HANS HILLMANN prompted me to revisited his gigantic and influential oeuvre (over 150 posters created between 1955 and the late 70’s before he went back to teaching graphic design at the prestigious Kassel School of High Arts in Germany)
You will find some of his best work in the 10 parts of this blog split between the various posters created for Nouvelle Vague, French, British and Brazilian Cinema along his exclusive works for some of the most famous movie directors who insisted by contract to have him design their German movie posters.
