Tom Hanks was at a petrol station near his home in California, when a couple approached Hanks to tell him about how disappointed they were about his latest movie.

Hanks apologised and refunded them the money by pulling out $25 out of his pocket.

The movie, Larry Crowe, also starring Julia Roberts, crashed at the box office with critics slating the romantic comedy.
